Frances' Story
"Competing against the best women in the world at the IFBB World Amateur BodyBuilding Championships, or competing against myself in the gym -- either way -- I thrive on the elements of competition."
"Manitoba Harvest Hemp products provide me with a staple form of essential fats and a unique protein I need in my diet, throughout my training cycle. Diet is 80% of my competitive bodybuilding endeavours. Manitoba Harvest Products have fit my competition equation beautifully and have contributed to my most recent successes in my sport! I know the benefits of Hemp Nutrition outside of competitive bodybuilding can be as beneficial. "
Frances uses all of the Manitoba Harvest Hemp Products in her specialized diet as she prepares for her National and International Amateur Competitions in Women’s Bodybuilding. Hemp Seed Oil : between 2-4 tbsp/day (in season); Hemp Protein Powder: between 1-2 servings/day (in season); Hemp Seed Nut: 2-4 servings/week (pre and post season); and Hemp Seed Nut Butter: 1 serving/day (pre and post season).
Frances is an accomplished and highly motivated athlete. Her bodybuilding strengths include shape, symmetry, and definition and, according to her, "discipline, in order to maximize these God-given genetics. Each year I keep getting better!"
Today Frances competes at the national and international levels -- she's a two-time Canadian Champion (at the 2000 and 2002 CBBF National World Qualifier competitions she won the Overall titles in women's bodybuilding), and has represented Canada at the IFBB World Championships four times, placing an impressive 7th in 2001. "When the oppourtunity to compete for Canada at the IFBB World Championships became a reality, I jumped at the chance. Since my first IFBB World Amateur Championship experience in 1998, I have experienced bodybuilding at the highest amateur level. Seeing and competing with some of the best women bodybuilders on the planet has given me tremendous encouragement and motivation to 'press on' with something I truly love. God is good!"
It must also be noted that when Frances strives to improve herself, she does it naturally. The CBBF National World Qualifier, which she's won the Overall title at two times, is drug-tested by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports (CCES.ca) -- Canada's government-recognized agency for conducting sporting-related tests, done to International Olympic Committee standards. Frances is a lifetime drug-free competitor, which she believes is great for herself, the sport of bodybuilding, and for Canada.
